Delaware Umpires Prepare for 2009 Season

The Delaware Umpires Association has geared up for the new 2009 season.  Like last year, we began the new year with training sessions in early January.  The Umpire Development Team provided both classroom instruction and on-field mechanics.  These instructors have participated in professional umpire clinics, and they will be teaching the same mechanics the pros use.  DUA members and anyone interested in becoming an umpire should plan to attend meetings.  Information about uniforms and equipment will be provided.  Click here for the full training/meeting schedule.

New E-Board Member - On Monday, May 4, Greg Collins was elected as the new Kent County Representative for DUA.  He replaces Horace Ellingsworth, who declined to serve another term.  We thank Horace for his many years of service on the board, and congratulate Greg on his election.
