Umpire Clinic to be held by Gerry Davis Sports in Kent County

The Delaware Umpires Association is proud to announce a professional umpire clinic to be held in Kent County. DUA has contracted with Gerry Davis Sports to conduct a weekend clinic at Caesar Rodney High School, November 6-8. The clinic will begin on Friday evening, with daytime sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The instructors are Scott Higgins and Joe Burleson. Combined they have over 20 years of professional baseball experience and almost that much again at the collegiate level. Four NCAA Division 1 College World Series, the Olympics, the 2009 IBAF World Cup and several other top international events as well as five years experience at the Major League Baseball level. They have also instructed at numerous camps and clinics and have 14 years experience teaching at umpire school. The two-man and the three-man system, plate work, handling situations all will be covered during an intense weekend of training, in a relaxed and fun setting.
